@Kollektor recommends hats for the young ‘uns

Jude Law in a hatThrough a Twitter search on hats I found a reference to Put a lid on it: men’s hats for winter in the blog of @Kollektor (Paul Hayes).

It’s great to see someone taking a firm line on beanies and baseball caps and suggesting to the yoof that there are better options for the head than sportswear.

I was particularly interested in his recommendation of the Akubra Hampton, which is likely to be my next hat. (It’s that or their homburg.)

An open crown is one that hasn't yet been given a shape by bashing or pinching. The hat may be left open crowned or it might be styled by its owner to his taste.
